MAS Intimates Wins Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2014 MAS Intimates the pioneering lingerie manufacturing division of MAS Holdings wins the coveted Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2014. MAS Intimates’ core values and best practices are embedded in its DNA, creating an identity that relates to all stakeholders in their own context. The 11th Annual Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award hosted by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) recognizes the untiring efforts of Sri Lanka’s corporate entities to adopt ‘Best Sustainability Practices’ in their business processes. In addition to winning the overall best Corporate Citizen Sustainability MAS Intimates also won 6 other awards. These are : the Category Winners for both Environmental Management and Community Relations, Sector winner for Manufacturing, and the Triple Bottom-line Awards for Social Sustainability and Environmental Sustainability. MAS Intimates was also a Top Ten Category recipient which recognizes 10 companies who have adopted best sustainability practices in their businesses. Over 70 firms submitted applications for the 2014 awards, judged by an independent panel of judges and evaluators. Prof. Uditha Liyanage, Professor of Management and the Postgraduate Institute of Management, was the Chairman of the Evaluators Panel of the BCCS Panel of the year 2014; while Palitha Fernando, Former Attorney General, functioned as the Chairman of the Judging Panel.
